How did we get here?

An introduction from @Mark Livingstone (Unlicensed) & @John Wise (Unlicensed)

I hope that we have been clear that our initial meeting on 3rd Feb 2022 is to discuss a new collaborative project idea for the pharma NLP community, and this will not be a highly polished talk describing completed work.

After a short introduction explaining how the Pistoia Alliance is promoting precompetitive collaboration within the pharmaceutical industry, Etzard Stolte from Roche will be leading a discussion around collaboration opportunities he has identified that fit well the mission of the Pistoia Alliance.

Among other topics, we would be interested to hear from any attendees who have developed a good system for documenting the workflow/protocols used when performing complex NLP studies with sufficient detail that another NLP scientist could reproduce the work.

The primary objective of this discussion, however, will be to assess the interest of participants in establishing a collaborative project to share best practices around NLP pharma use cases and to create a database of successes and failures to advance our communal understanding of what works and what doesn't work.
